PURIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL WATERS
CLS Water also proposes its services in the field of purification of industrial waters in the Eure-et-Loir, throughout France, and internationally.
WATER SOFTENERS : Elimination of the hardness of water
Water naturally contains calcium and magnesium ions, and this is what defines how hard water is (TH).
This hardness, which generates tarter, often harms installations and networks (clogging of pipes, and reduction of thermal exchanges), as well as impacting the quality of the finished product.
CLS Water has a large range of water softening equipment using co-courant or counter-courant regenerable ions exchanges, adapted to the nature of raw water and to the required quality of treated water.
Our production capacity ranges from 2m3/h to 150m3/hour. Our water softener range includes simplex, duplex, triplex, quadruplex and panoply.
With CLS Water softening units, you have :
- a range of modular equipment with devices that present the best quality for your money;
- the guarantee of a tried and tested stable product;
- one that is easy to install;
- one that complies with current regulations: CE and CESP standards, ACS standards for potable water
Filtration : Elimination of suspended matter
Water in industrial processes must often be pretreated to reduce the quantity of suspended matter it contains.
Our modular equipment addresses this issue by proposing filtering technologies as well as filter media with a granulometry adapted to the type of waters to be treated.
With CLS Water filtration units, you have :
- a modular range of equipment with tailor-made equipment that gives you good value for your money;
- the guarantee of a tried and tested stable product;
- one that is easy to install;
- compliance with current regulations: CE, DESP and ACS standards;
- a vast choice of functional variants (FVFA or FV2B technology, single or dual layers) as well as constructions according to the quality of water to be treated
Ultrafiltration : Total elimination of suspended matter
Ultrafiltration completely eliminates any particulate matter (bacteria, parasites, viruses, organic molecules, etc.) when treating raw water or producing water for cooling circuits, boilers, or production processes. We produce compact, preassembled and autonomous skids from 1 to 200m3/hour. Our ultrafiltration skids filter from the exterior to the interior. Each unit is the result of several “plug and play” assembled elements.
Ultrafiltration ensures :
- a constant quality of treated water;
- a total abatement of all particulate matter (physical barrier);
- simplified connections and installation by assembling modular elements;
- a compact construction, with reduced floorspace;
- the possibility of having extensions if needed;
- automatic operations with fail-safe security (automatic membrane integrity tests).
Nanofiltration : Filtration of heavy metals
Nanofiltration is mainly used to remove ions such as those found in heavy metals.
Nanofiltration applications :
- Softening water
- Elimination heavy metals from effluents to reuse water
- Reduction of sodium ion content
We use two types of membranes :
- Spiral membranes, which are less expensive but more pollution sensitive.
- Tubular/straw membranes are used more extensively because of their better cost/effectiveness coefficient.
The surface of the filters determines the performances and filtration capacity of the membrane. Spiral membranes have the largest surface and generally speaking, are less expensive to use. Tubular membranes have smaller surfaces.
REVERSE OSMOSIS : Demineralization
Reverse osmosis is used to demineralize water to be used in industrial manufacturing processes. We produce skids from 100l/h to 200m3/hour, as well as 3D plans.
With reverse osmosis technology, you have :
- the guarantee of a tried and tested stable product;
- a simple and safe utilization with or without chemicals;
- compact equipment requiring minimal floorspace;
- equipment that is simple to use and quickly installed.
ELECTRODEIONIZATION EDI
EDI is a process that combines a technology using semi-permeable membranes with ion exchange resins to supply a very efficient demineralization process, to produce extremely pure water for industrial uses (Ultra-Pure Water). Often used after a reverse osmosis pretreatment, this procedure reduces the consumption of chemicals by over 95%, as compared with more conventional ion exchange procedures. We produce custom-made skids from 1 to 50m3/hour. Please contact us for higher flow rates.
Advantages of EDI electrodeionization :
- production of pure water with constant qualitative and quantitative characteristics;
- a simple and continual functioning requiring only a slight follow-up;
- very low use, or even suppression of chemical reagents, thus reducing your environmental footprint;
- reduced operational and maintenance costs;
- an optimized electric consumption;
- a non-pollutant, secure and reliable procedure;
- reduced floorspace.
Ozone : To disinfect water
Ozone is an allotropic form of 0² oxygen. Ozone is the most powerful oxidizing agent used in water treatment. It is thus a disinfectant that is more efficient than chlorine, as it eliminates all micro-organisms through oxidation.
-
Ozone is ideal for ultrapure water loops, as only very low amounts of ozone are sufficient to sanitize the system.
-
There are no undesirable sub products, as ozone, in its ultimate phase, dissipates into oxygen. As its half-life is limited, after just a few hours there are no more disinfectant residues.
DEMINERALIZATION : Elimination of salinity in water
Water naturally contains dissolved mineral salts and their content is one of the factors that limits concentration of boiler-feed water.
Furthermore, many industrial processes (automobile industries, microelectronics, chemicals, agri-food, etc.) impose a limitation on the salinity of water used in production.
We produce compact units ranging from 2 to 100m3/hour. When you use CLS Water demineralization units, you have :
- a modular range of equipment with adapted devices giving you the best quality for your money;
- the guarantee of a tried and tested stable product;
- one that is easy to install;
- one that complies with current regulations (CE and CESP standards).
UV GENERATORS
Ultraviolet rays (UV) are electromagnetic rays with a wavelength that is between that of visible light and that found in X-rays. There are three types of UV rays, characterized by using the letters A, B, and C.
Ultraviolet generators are used in the following processes :
- disinfection (30mJ/cm²)
- ozone destruction (120mJ/cm²)
- chlorine destruction (1,200mJ/cm²)
- reduction of total organic carbon (TOC).
